What is a Fast Action Industrial Door?
A Fast Action Industrial Door is better known as a Speed Door. This type of door should not be mistaken for an external security door; that is not its purpose.
The curtain on a Fast Action Door is either canvas or PVC. Using lightweight material is essential when creating a speed door. If the curtain is steel, a speed motor would not be able to handle the weight; it would burn out very quickly. In addition, it would be dangerous to have a steel door moving at speed.
The picture to the left shows a fast action industrial door set behind an external roller shutter door.
The user will raise the roller shutter during the day, but leave the fast action door down to help keep heat in. In addition to allowing full light into the opening, it helps keep dust and debris out.

Be Aware
These doors are more lightweight than other industrial doors; therefore, please bear in mind that they are not designed to withstand high winds. Please raise your speed doors when experiencing gusty conditions. This will avoid unnecessary damage.

The Eco-Strip door can operate at standard speed or high speed. You can also opt for an integrated personnel door within the curtain.
There are various operational devices to choose from, such as floor-loop activation for heavy use openings.
