This was a nice insulated industrial doors project in a Warehouse setting.  The project consisted of five roller shutters and five loose PVC strip curtains.

This project consists of insulated industrial doors measuring 3000mm wide x 4000mm high.

The roller shutters are operated via a 3-phase electrical system with standard push-button controls.

The curtains consist of 22g WM95 insulated curtains and guides finished in Dark Blue RAL 5003. 

Since introducing our Eco-Strip door, we are rarely asked to install loose PVC strip curtains.

However, this customer thought the loose curtains were better suited to their needs.

The strips are 400mm x 4mm ribbed PVC, clear strips with a 60% overlap. Before hanging the strips, our engineers installed steel channels and brackets across the tops of the doors.

All give doors are finished off with galvanised steel canopies to cover the working parts.  Other optional extras and accessories are available here.

Maintenance

Depending on usage, loose PVC strip curtains will become scratched over time. Eventually, visibility through the curtain will be reduced. To maintain the safety of the opening, especially if it is used by vehicles, the strips should be replaced.

Repairs

As insulated industrial doors are classed as Machines and fall under the Machinery Directive, they should be serviced annually. Just like a car’s MOT, this helps to ensure the safety of personnel operating them and also keeps you compliant with Health and Safety Regulations.
