A Day In The Life of A Door Engineer
Well, first things first for a Door Engineer, is to ease yourself into the day with your first cup of coffee at 8am. Then, catch up on the days sports news until the boss arrives.
Once the Boss has arrived, its paper down and the real work commences.
A visit to the office is made to find out what jobs have been scheduled in for the day.
On this occassion, there has been an emergency call out request. A roller shutter has been jammed in its guides and won't move. In this situation, a door engineer needs to anticipate what might have caused the problem, what repairs and materials could be necessary; and also, if a scaffold tower will be needed.
As is the way with all emergency call outs; the door engineer hopes he will be able to fix the problem on the first visit.
If he is unable to do so, the door will be made safe and a quotation will be provided for the follow up repair.
Preventative Maintenance
