Why choose an electric door over a manual one?
Customers often assume electric warehouse doors would be more expensive compared to manual ones. However, that is not necessarily the case.
Manual doors have springs inside the barrels. In recent years, the price of steel has risen; hence, spring doors are more costly than motorised.
Fit and healthy people may not have a problem operating a small push up door. However, injury could occur if the user has a bad back or the opening is too large; in that event a push up door is not advisable.
If manual is the only option available; then, it is possible to use a chain operated door up to a certain size. But, pulling the door up and down could be a physical strain for some people.
