Insulated Shutter Repairs Walk-Through.

This project page takes you through insulated shutter repairs, typically a curtain replacement. The wind damaged the curtain. Using a scissor lift and hoists, we can safely bring down the whole barrel and curtain, unbolt the damaged curtain, and replace it.

Whilst the barrel was out, we serviced the working parts and replaced the angles and guides.

The curtain comprises 20swg 4″ supalaths, finished in Ocean Blue powder coat.

This door operates using a wire rope wind retaining system. Unfortunately, this was not enough to stop the wind damage.  Because of this, we added windlocks to the curtain and guides. These will help to avoid wind damage in the future.
