Industrial Door Repairs

If you have the financial resources, we recommend having industrial door repairs attended to as soon as they arise.

You may ask, "My door is still operating; it occasionally judders as it runs, so do I have to get it fixed?"

The quick answer is "Yes".

An unchecked door fault can trigger a chain of other faults. Let's take the above question as an example. If a door judders as it comes down or sometimes gets stuck, it suggests the curtain may have shifted slightly, making it tight on one side. When a roller shutter is not running straight, as it rolls up and down, it will slowly continue to shift across.

Eventually, it will get stuck inside the guide. If it is an automatic door, sometimes the operator may not stop to watch it operating. If no one is there to press the emergency stop button, the motor will continue rolling the barrel, causing the curtain to bunch up. In this instance, the curtain could split apart and be forced out of the guides. When that happens, it can become a dangerous door.

The above example concentrates on industrial roller shutter doors. However, the concept of attending to industrial door repairs quickly applies to more than just roller shutters. From Sectional Overhead Doors and Speed Doors to Steel Personnel, Fire Exit, or Sliding Doors, they can all pose a safety risk if not repaired as early as possible.

Similarly, it does not apply to just Industrial or Commercial settings either. Retail, Leisure, Public Sector and even Domestic property owners would do well to keep this advice in mind.

The Benefits of Regular Maintenance

To help you avoid these pitfalls, we strongly recommend a yearly service. A regular service will help pick up minor issues that the end user may overlook.

This will help keep repair costs down because the fault has not had a chance to cause additional damage.

We offer a Service Agreement facility, which entitles the customer to discounted repairs.
