An unchecked door fault can trigger a chain of other faults. Let's take the above question as an example. If a door judders as it comes down or sometimes gets stuck, it suggests the curtain may have shifted slightly, making it tight on one side. When a roller shutter is not running straight, as it rolls up and down, it will slowly continue to shift across. 

Eventually, it will get stuck inside the guide. If it is an automatic door, sometimes the operator may not stop to watch it operating. If no one is there to press the emergency stop button, the motor will continue rolling the barrel, causing the curtain to bunch up. In this instance, the curtain could split apart and be forced out of the guides. When that happens, it can become a dangerous door.

The above example concentrates on industrial roller shutter doors. However, the concept of attending to industrial door repairs quickly applies to more than just roller shutters.
