Safety Brakes (Anti-Fall Device)
All roller shutters and sectional overhead doors must be installed with safety brakes. These prevent the doors from falling down in the event of a motor brake failing, conforming to BSEN 12604.

Compulsory Devices for Auto Doors
It is a compulsory requirement to have some form of safety feature on all automatically operated doors. These prevent the doors from lowering onto an object or person.

Safety Interlock Switch
A Safety Interlock Switch is placed on an electrically operated door when it has an internal wicket gate fitted.
This stops the door from being operated whilst the wicket gate is closed avoiding any damage being done to the door.
